Welcome To Old Dog House

Pam, Sindy, and the Gang

It is our mission to provide a loving, secure, comfortable home to elderly dogs (mainly over 8 years for large breeds and over 10 years for smaller breeds) : dogs who have been discarded for whatever reason, and who are usually deemed unadoptable by the average pet seeking household.

These beautiful beings, rejected for no fault of their own, often after many years of devotion to an owner, will live out their lives in a peaceful home, dedicated to meeting their needs, and where they will be appreciated for the sweet souls they are.

We are a non-profit 501(c)3 tax exempt no kill old dog rescue. We are an independent organization and depend solely on donations from the general public to operate.

Our Animal Rescue is located on 35 beautiful acres in the Central Colorado mountains, Cripple Creek, Colorado, with few residents in the area. So the dogs can bark and romp to their hearts’ content! We have many big pens  some of which have actual cabins in them – but most of the dogs live in the house with us anyway!
